This year's Rhythm Society campout was HOT! 100+ degree days made for warm nights, with a full moon illuminating our dance floor. We splurged with WaveWorks who provided the tastiest sound system I've played on in years. To see a community I helped birth nearly 30 years ago continue to thrive brings me so much joy.
This is the opening set for our Saturday night session. From the moment my first track hit, a classic from Nina Simone, I knew playing on this system would be a treat. Laid back and normally quiet songs hit hard with a punch that moved the ground under my feet. My aim was to move from the peaceful quiet of the early evening to the hard-hitting vibes of Kotton Dandy. I quite like how it turned out.
