Focus music
I've spent much of my professional life listening to music while I work. It's one of the perks of having a lot of solo, heads-down time. As someone with attention challenges, distraction has always been my nemesis - especially when holding complex systems and workflows in my mind. I use music as both a distraction buffer and a focusing agent. As a general rule, my focus music contains no lyrics, no breaks or jarring transitions, and generally remains rhythmically and melodically consistent. Sometimes the music is very quiet and calm, and sometimes it's more energized - that's the primary variable. This is a selection of my favorite mixes I've made that I use for focus.
