AI substrate

The word 'substrate' is overused and overloaded at this moment -- it's very 'AI.' Because of this, I wanted to use another word. But substrate fits better than any other term I could come up with. The core idea in my thesis is that AI is laying the foundation (or substrate) for an abstraction layer that AI-native experiences will be built on top of. Until recently, most applications of AI were in service of building legacy products and experiences. What we see when intelligence and autonomy are deeply interwoven into the experience is something new.
