Community

I've adopted the author Charles Vogl's definition of community as 'a group of people who care about each other's well-being.' I was born into and raised within different intentional communities based in the SF Bay Area. I co-created a community, The Rhythm Society, now in its 30th year and with more than 500 members. The ideas of community, belonging and ritual are connected topics that appear throughout my work and writing.
