Wander

Mock up screens for the Wander AR prototype

Wander is an augmented reality personalized AI agent experience designed for the Brilliant Labs Frame AR glasses. The agent is trained on personal interests, favorite foods, music, sense of adventure, willingness to wander, and more. When enabled and paired with the glasses, the user is guided toward a nearby interest while only receiving a "clue" about what it might be. The goal is to induce the experience of serendipity through stumbling upon delightful experiences.

This is a sister project to my Serendipity Watch concept.

The HUD design and icons for Actions and Clues

The Wander UI is minimal in an attempt to find a balance between AI-driven preemptive insights and distracting notifications. As long as the user is wearing the Frame glasses and the app is engaged, the system explores relevant experiences to discover.

An item's relevance score must exceed a threshold that increases with distance, ensuring that more distant options need stronger interest alignment to be worth pursuing. The experience prioritizes delightful serendipity as the greatest reward.

Yours truly guided by my personal agent into the unknown

Current prototype architecture

Currently a prototype running in a web app with personalization managed in a Craft CMS instance and AI insights powered by Anthropic's Claude. Until Brilliant releases the native Swift SDK and I find time to rebuild, I'm tethered to my laptop via Bluetooth.
